I'm a retired railroad man who indulged in the folk art tradition of making chalk drawings on the railcars as an announcement of presence, and diversion from boredom. Although against the rules of the railroad, it was a common enough practice by the employees and hobos, by ignoring enforcement it was de facto tacit approval, for I dispatched drawings for 32 years of my 41 years of employment without interference. The initial purpose of this blog is to record the language used in my frequent boxcar icon dispatches.

The holidays were horrendous as usual. A crisis with our youngest daughter's Crohn's bout. Christmas day itself was nice and fattening.

Go to http://www.flickr.com/ and sign up. It's a free service for hosting digital images. You can upload them right from your desktop... and blogg them from there too! Most of us blogger'zZ use it.
Ed, yes the Fill the Ford (Fully) Folly is on going. Hope to do docs for a second ring of keys soon.
I marked up with a Picasa posting that is supposed to do the trick with placing pictures on the blog. My duncehood thickness is the hold up I suspect.
I tried Picasa but found it very confusing and gave up.Flickr is so much easier- a three year old child could do it ( hey, run out and get me a 3 year old child!).
